Monique Craine (they/them)
After struggling their entire life and not knowing why, Monique got diagnosed with multiple neurodivergences in late adulthood. They have been blogging about neurodivergence for more than a decade and have many connections in neurodivergent communities both in person and online. Operating under NeuroDivergent Matters, Monique has done training, mentoring and coaching for neurodivergent people for more than five years, delivering training to businesses and organisations all over the UK. Monique also offers workspace assessments and overall aims to make workplaces more neurodivergent-friendly and inclusive.
They are currently a mentor for Equal Power, Equal Voice, a collaborative project aiming to empower marginalised people into public office. They co-authored the UK Labour's Neurodiversity Manifesto 2016-18 and were shortlisted for the National Diversity Awards 2015. Monique won the Wales Online Diversity and Inclusion Specialist Business of the Year Award in 2022. Monique is also published in the book "Autistic Community and the Neurodiversity Movement: Stories from the frontline" (edited by Steven Kapp, 2020) as well as several scientific papers.
